The Museum is Moving to DAV Building in Holly Hill Fl.

September 19th, 2020: The Museum is now temporarily closed and in the process of moving to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) building at 605 8th Street in Holly Hill, Fl. The new location is on the ground floor with lots of parking. We will have new hours at the new location so check back here or call 386-679-4812 for up to date information. We ask your patience during these stressful times and thank you all for your support over the years. We anticipate great things to come. In the meantime we could use donations to help with the financial burden of the move. Mail donations to POB 407, Daytona Beach Fl 32115 or donate here (Copy and paste in browser):

  1. Congratulations on your future home, sorry your desired location didn’t work out.

My father was a WWII Veteran, my husband is a former Marine, and I grew up on State Ave between 8th and 10th St. in Holly Hill.

I am looking forward to seeing the museum on a ground floor, I have bad knees and wasn’t able to visit in your current location.

The reason I’m writing is to offer volunteer graphic design and/or writing help with the new displays and exhibits if that is something you can use.

Please contact me if I can be of any help. I have a background in publishing and art and would love to help if I can. I’d be happy to send you my resume and answer any questions you may have. Thanks!

    1. Joan, Thanks for your post on our website, Yes, I believe that we would love to have you as part of our museum. Right now of course we are all consumed by the move, but when we finally get all the stuff to the DAV I know there will be plenty to do in your related field. In the meantime, I’m always at the current location every Friday between 1-4 PM (although I’m there usually every day now) and if you can, perhaps you could come on up and we can show you what’s going on. My phone number is 386-788-8040 and you can call me and I could let you know when I’ll be there (other than Friday) my e-mail is bobmuseum@earthlink.net. Thanks for your offer and I look forward to meeting with you. Bob Hawes, President
